During the early 1900s, a young Vincenzo Parisi was exiled from malaria-ridden Puglia by his family to seek better opportunities, which were lacking in the poor, rural provinces of southern Italy at the time. Unlike many who dreamed and pursued the American dream at the time, Vincenzo's journey began with him working as a shoemaker in Genoa. It was then that he made his first and only pair of leather shoes, a pair that lasted until his final days. After various maintenance procedures, those shoes eventually lost their original appearance. However, their soul has always remained intact .
